Data Engineer – Reporting/BI Focus

TalentScout is an exciting startup that is looking to change the way recruitment is done.  We’re based in BGC and we’ve partnered up with headhuntr.io, a Candidate Intelligence start-up company based in San Francisco, California. Together, we are revolutionizing the recruiting process by leveraging data-science technology and our Candidate Intelligence database to find better candidates, faster.

​We are looking for a Data Engineer who is passionate about data to help us cleanse and transform unstructured data into rich and insightful recruiting intelligence. The successful candidate will work closely with our Product Manager and Data Team to help build our mission critical data sets focusing on the cleansing and presentation of these datasets. 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop solutions to cleanse, transform and visualize the company’s large datasets
  • Profile data to gain insight into its completeness and quality, providing recommendations and solutions to ensure complete and rich datasets
  • Provide the various business teams the ability to query the data efficiently and accurately utilizing the appropriate tools to suit their technical aptitude
  • Perform the data analysis, development and maintenance of the required reporting dashboards
  • Develop, maintain and manage advanced reporting and analytics delivery using data visualization tools
  • Collaborate with data team members to cleanse, transform, enrich and visualize the company's datasets, leveraging automation and new technologies and concepts when possible

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ability to display complex, large data sets in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner
  • 1-3 years hands-on experience in BI visualization tools (Tableau, R, SAS, Power BI etc.)
  • Experience in Python, SQL, Scripting and Charting
  • Experience working with a very large Data Warehouses
  • Proficient with the AWS platform
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Track record of delivering results in a collaborative and distributive team work environment
  • Detail oriented with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts
  • Experience in Machine Learning and Predictive Analytics projects
  • Strong communication skills, enabling transparency and coordination across multiple regional and service teams
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with ability to balance competing priorities
  • Bachelor’s/College Degree in Computer Science or any IT-related field; or a graduate of Statistics or Mathematics
